In a year of a pandemic, many businesses and orgaizations have had to change how they do what they do. Room at the Inn was not different. An emergency shelter for women, children, and families, Room at the Inn used to have various churches throughout the area host guests overnight. Samuel UCC has been hosting those guests for years. But when everything shut down, things had to change.
Room at the Inn reorganized and started hosting families overnight at their site. Things worked ok - but one thing that was desparately need was a space for teens to gather and time away from their family. Melissa Harlow - our Children, Youth, and Family Minister - got on board. And with the help of over 20 adults and youth, transformed an old office into a welcoming space.
A space that truly become room for teens at the inn.
